Dental Benefits Explained

Dental benefits are different from medical Insurance. Many patients are not familiar with the specifics of their dental plan or find it very confusing. A dental benefit plan is never intended to cover all of your dental needs. The plan is to assist you in paying for your treatment.

A dental benefit plan is a third party contract between your employer and the insurance company. The benefits received are based on the terms of the contract that was negotiated between your employer and the insurance company.

The benefits that you receive are in the best interest of the insurance company and your employer. Some services may not even be covered. They do not take into account what you need or want to achieve your best oral health.  This is often very confusing to dental patients. Dental benefits rarely cover treatment at 100%. Our goal is to provide you with the best care possible care. We are happy to work with you to make comfortable arrangements for your co-obligation or non-covered services.
